Does anyone know if Personal Development Hours or Continuing Education Units are available for those attanding technical sessions? Professional Engineers and others are interested in these for documenting continuing education.

PDH Certificates will be given out at the end of each technical session
The PDH certificate may be used as proof of the continuing education and professional development by most state boards. This is an excellent way to meet the requirements and obtain some great technical information at the same time. I am on the Alabama State Board of Licensure for PE and we accept this type of documentation if a person is audited. ISA should promote this as a way to encourage attendance at the technical sessions.
I agree that ISA should promote this. I did not see anything about this in the program material I have read so far. We have many PEs in ISA and many states now have the continuing education requirement. So I would think this is a significant benefit that should be promoted by ISA.
Yes, the ISA needs to do a better job of promoting the PDH's that one can get from attending Automation Week. I fully expect that PDH's will be more actively promoted for Automation Week 2012.
For the 2012 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium (WWAC Symposium) which is scheduled to take place August 7-9, 2012 in Orlando, Florida, the organizing committee will be heavily promoting the PDH's that attendees will receive. For attendees, the opportunity to receive PDH's is a major reason to attend the symposium.

Yes, while these certs were available as participants left the sessions it was not always made clear that this was the case. A lesson to take to Orlando.

Another lesson learned...it is my understanding that sign-in sheets were not always available at each session. ISA must retain the back-up documentation for the attendees, just in case of an audit of P.E. PDHs earned.
