I've been involved for thirty years in automation and instrumentation, since the days of pneumatic instruments and controls. Progressing on to 4-20mA circuits and now we are so technically advanced we do not use any wires at all with Wireless Technology. I have completed many roles as instrument technician, design engineer, project engineer, project manager, and validation consultant.
In my earlier years I specialized in Hazardous Area Design,Installation and Commissioning of Chemical Plants. Then moving to the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Manufacturing industry specifically with Process Control Engineering, gaining extensive experience in DCS and PLC systems with Hardware and Software Design, Construction, Validation, Commissioning and Startup. Earlier this year I completed the second of two projects for Eli Lilly at Kinsale in Ireland.
A Senior Member of ISA Ireland Section for fifteen years I have served in numerous leadership positions, serving as President of the Ireland Section in 1999/2000. I currently chair the student development committee.
